The best glues to use for things such as 2-part epoxy adhesives and silicone-type E-6000. Some of the most robust and "white tail" could also work, like Gem Tac, Jewel Man, Crafter's Pick The Ultimate, etc.
All of this would be even better if the queue is a little too mechanical retention (eg, a part of the metal, or extruded through an opening in the same). And you can to take drastic measures, which some of them (hooks, wrapped or only temporarily, for example) until they are established.

(Polyurethane glues like Gorilla Glue did nothing to nothing to use but are much fiddlier and yellow) are rather clear.

I do not recommend superglue (glue, etc.) or a hot glue gun to glue something, as they are under stress, especially stress aside.

When I attach some of these types of tape on wire barrettess (excluding tail). The discovery of the pin was removed in 2 parts, then wrapped around the cable and parts of the band and the beginning of the loop when searchingcircular motion several times, not packed (thick enough to interfere with the closing of the loop, however). Very difficult.

As Diane said, fine wire cloth for the holding pin is ideal.
Gorilla Glue is now a clear adhesive, but Gorilla Glue expands as it is to stay away from these pins, only use it if you clamp the pieces down.
Jewel or Gem Tac glue are good if you want to use a glue gun to glue sticks are different, they are. Some are for the equipment, an enemy of wood, etc. There are also colored glue sticks and shiny. I have used weapons of glue for bolts without any problems, I prefer the high temperature, low temperature, because it is a working day is longer, you see only your fingers and a bowl of cold water in case!

Yes things, glue guns for bonding plastic, is ideal. Try a regular super glue. You can use a glove, and overwrite the tape on the tail. Another thing is, you can try sticking to the wood, but also in small quantities.
